The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has once again hit out at Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula over his continued attacks on the party chief Raila Odinga.
In an interview on Citizen Television on Thursday, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna accused the Bungoma Senator of peddling lies about the former Prime Minister.
He bashed Wetangula for as well lying about the reason behind his snub of Odinga's January 30 mock Presidential inauguration, noting that the leader has been giving contradictory reasons.
He cited instances where Wetangula claimed to have been denied exit from his home by the police on the date, before changing the narrative on Tuesday and alleging that Raila told him and the remaining co-principals to stay away.
"We will give him time as we hope that one day he will stop lying about Raila and why he snubbed the swearing in. Most of the things he is saying about our leader are pure lies," said the former Nairobi senatorial hopeful.
Sifuna, however, praised the remaining co-principals despite having also skipped the event, specifically lauding Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi for openly disclosing his reasons.
"We need to laud Mudavadi who went against his lieutenants led by Barrack Muluka and openly admitted that he did not attend because he did not believe in the coronation," he added.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was also absent for the Uhuru park event.
