A photo of Raila Odinga in a pair of shorts has left social media users excited with some comparing him with his late father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
During his days, Jaramogi, the first Vice President and a believer of communism, was often pictured in shorts at public and private functions.
At Borabu Watchtower WhatsApp group, participants hailed Raila with some asking him not to quit active politics since he's yet to announce his political future.
"Raila looks very young and we need him on the ballot. Those asking him to retire should spare us that rhetoric. He is energetic and ready to take us to Canaan," wrote Sam Omosa.
Nominated MCA Carol Mogere added: "Jakom looks smart in those shorts. In fact he should appear in public rallies with them. He even looks younger than his competitors."
It cannot be established where the photo was taken but Mr Odinga landed at Mombasa on Thursday evening and sources say he met President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.
Upon arrival, Mr Odinga was received by Likoni MP Mishi Mboko and Major Idris Abduharam and is believed to have briefly taken a rest at his Nyali home.
Mr Odinga is reportedly drafting a final cabinet reshuffle copy with President Uhuru Kenyatta and a number of his allies are expected to bounce back to cabinet following the famous handshake.
