The helicopter has seen Kenyans on social media question the DP's 'sudden' wealth since ascending to power.

"I don't own the helicopter you see me roaming around it. I was loaned by Moses Kuria," he said.

The DP added: "And I want to thank Kuria for being candid and open. It belongs to him. I don't know why people always say it's mine."

At Murang'a, Kuria, a close confidant of Ruto, told locals that the chopper belongs to him, a move that could put the debate into rest.

However, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, was quick to dismiss the claims, warning that Ruto's days are numbered.

"Tanga Tanga people, this is just the start. Kitaeleweka," he posted Ruto's video, an indication that lifestyle audit was now close to haunting the DP.
