Gor Mahia is set to face Algeria’s USM Alger of Algeria in a group D Confederations Cup tie that will be played on Wednesday.
The team travelled on Monday but landed in Morocco since they could not get a direct flight to Algeria.
This is not the first time Kenyan club face difficulties in travelling, with similar instances having happened in the past.
For the match against Algers, the government only provided 21 tickets out of the 30 promised, meaning the club could not travel with a doctor and physiotherapist.
Team manager Jolawi Obondo said that the air tickets prices were higher than expected, thus the government could only purchase 21 out of the 30 promised.
Head Coach Dylan Kerr will only have to play with 17 players, in what is a must-win match for K'Ogalo.
Gor Mahia will be hoping Yanga wins their match against Rayon Sports to qualify for the quarters as group runners-up.
However, Rayon Sports have a big advantage over the Kenyan champions, having beaten them in Nairobi a fortnight ago.
Gor keeper Fredrick Odhiambo has been included in the match as a result of his recent performances for the club during the match against Sofapaka and arch-rivals AFC Leopards.
The match will kick-off at 2:00 Pm in Algeria (4 PM Kenyan) time.
