Highly celebrated Bongo star Diamond Platnumz is making headlines again, and this time around by changing the lives of his fellow country people.
The successful artist whose roots are traced back to a humble background from poor and small village called Tandale in Kigoma, has decided to give his blessing back to the society.
Diamond has confirmed he will be issuing medical covers, repairing schools among other life-changing things, starting from his own home village.
"Leo zoezi la kuelekea kupewa Kadi za Afya, Mitaji, Ukarabati wa Shule na kadharika zilianza Tandale... Nawashkuru sana Familia yangu , Management pamoja na Kila alienyuma ya hili kuhakikisha tunalifanikisha kwa pamoja..... asante @resolutioninsurancetz@dcbbanktz @Cocacola @diamondkaranga kwa kungana nami kwenye hili... Tafadhali naomba kesho Msisahau kuungana nami pale Kiwanja cha Tandale Maguniani 🙏🏻 #AsanteTandale #ABoyFromTandale," posted Diamond on his official Instagram account.
Regardless of his success and fame, Diamond never forgets where he came from. Unlike most celebrities who dump their villages once they come to the limelight of the city.
He has always made his village Tandale known to the whole world by shooting videos from the village, naming his albums after the village, for instance, his new album is named "A Boy From Tandale".
Apart from helping his village and changing lives, Diamond has also been fully supporting upcoming artists in Tanzania.
He came up with a record label, Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) records, which has so far produced very great artists including 'Kwangwaru' hitmaker Harmonize, Rayvanny, Lava Lava, Mbosso, Queen Darlin among others.
