Firefighters in Kisumu are currently battling a fire that reportedly broke out from a kiosk at Kibos Market.

Confirming the incident, Kondele OCS Bonface Mutie said that the fire started from a kiosk in the area and residents responded quickly.

However, they could not contain it and the firefighters arrived, and are currently putting it out to prevent it from spreading to other adjacent kiosks.

He says nothing has been salvaged from the burning kiosk.

Locals traders suspect the fire has been caused by a power problem.
