Failure to handle online propaganda, criticism and leakage of sensitive information precipitated DP William Ruto to sack his communication team.
For two months, Ruto will now craft a formidable team that would help improve his image besides relaying information to the public effectively.
While nothing is yet known about the possible team that would join, it's however clear that David Mugonyi and Emmanuel Talam's team was disbanded.
"They could not manage effectively handling of the communication contrary to what they should.
"For instance, handling criticism and creating positive PR for the DP was a problem thus the decision to have them kicked out," said a source.
Lately, the DP has been battling criticism on his attitude towards fight against graft, with media reporting about his perceived dissatisfaction with the move.
Also, it is believed that he was frustrated with the manner in which the team was handling classified information.
The latest development could see State House Digital Communication Director Dennis Itumbi bouncing back after being rendered 'jobless' in recent weeks.
Mr. Itumbi, who has been operating from Ruto's Harambee Annex, has had his access to State House limited.
