Politicians, musicians and fans gathered in numbers to pay tribute to fallen Egesa FM presenter Joseph Mochere.
Mr. Mochere, popularly known as Okebiro O'Mose, committed suicide under controversial circumstances a fortnight ago in his Imara Daima home.
At Motagara secondary school field, one could hardly find a space to follow proceedings following the multitude of people who attended.
Fans could be heard breaking into tears as fellow comedians and musicians took into the stage to give the slain comedian respectful send-off.
Politicians who attended emphasised of counselling as the best remedy to overcome such tragedy.
"We have lost a hero. Counselling is important when we are undergoing internal struggles," said Timothy Bosire, a former Kitutu Masaba MP.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi added: "We shall miss his voice. It was so encouraging but we have nothing to do."
During the funeral, Mochere's boss, Nancy Kwamboka dispelled speculations that the former presenter was underpaid.
On her Facebook, she expressed how Mr. Mochere's departure is catastrophic to her.
"You have now gone. I'll be alone in the studio. Fare thee well."
