Three journalists have been arrested for allegedly doing a photoshop of Senator Cleophas Malala’s image to create a nude.
The three were arrested on Tuesday over the incident.
The vocal senator said the work was orchestrated by senior government officials ‘whose nudes in a lodging had leaked to the social media’.
"When the photo went viral, the official told the journalists to photoshop the image and replace his face with mine. I was tipped about what happened and I got the police to arrest the journalists," Malala said.
Police confiscated the journalists' laptops and phones and are reportedly analyzing the scribes communication with the said government official.
The three might be charged with the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes law and risk being fined Sh5 million each.
