A court in Nairobi allowed Ms Sarah Wairimu, Cohen's estranged wife yo be part of funeral procession team amid wrangles with immediate family.

Cohen's burial was postponed to Tuesday after it emerged that no priest was available on Monday to conduct the burial ceremony in Jewish religion customs.

Lawyer Cliff Ombeta, who represents Cohen's immediate family, said Jewish traditions only allows a wife to attend but cannot access gravesite.

“According to the traditions, Sarah can go but only watch from a distance,” said the controversial lawyer.

Ombeta further said the exit of Cohen's sister Gabrielle Van Straten on Saturday was planned, adding that the Jewish customs do not equally allow her.

“She was not to attend the burial because Jewish rites don’t allow women to be present. Only men attend such events,” he said.

Ms Wairimu is being held at Lang'ata prison after detectives placed her on murder site. She is however yet to take any plea since detectives are still investigating.

Cohen's mutilated body was recovered from a septic tank within his compound, over one month after he was reported missing by the wife.

In his will which was opened last week, though yet to be made public, he reportedly excluded her from inheritance of his property worth billions.
