Member of Parliament for Garissa Township Aden Duale who also doubles up as the leader of the majority in the parliament has confirmed that the Jubilee Party is stable.
Duale's confirmation of the Party's stability comes amid claims that there is a growing rift in the ruling party with a section of its members supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and others supporting Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Duale, the Jubilee Party is not shaken as alleged and is running its operations in the parliament successfully.
"Our party is stable. We are passing its agendas in the parliament. The government is still one (Chama chetu kiko imara. Ajenda zake bunge tunapitisha. Bado serikali iiko moja)," Duale stated during an interview with Citizen TV.
He went ahead to criticize a section of the party's members who were sidelining themselves with certain leaders hence causing the alleged division.
He referred to such politicians as political toddlers.
"Those who are being swayed are political toddlers who are still immature (Wale ambaye wanayumbayumba, ni wale ambaye bado wananyonya matiti ya mama kisiasa hawajakomaa)," Duale added.
Duale further pointed out that the strength and legacy of the Jubilee Party is one that may exist for the next 50 years.
The Garissa MP is also a close ally of DP Ruto has publicly declared to support his presidential bid.
