1. Choose your words carefully

Words can completely destroy a person so carefully select the ones to use. If you are angry do not engage your partner, wait until you are calm because you could say something you never wanted and it is irreversible. Always encourage your partner to do better and when they disappoint them avoid hurtful words.

2. Don’t rush into having kids

Learn to coexist with your partner first. Children come as distractions so enjoy each other’s company first before you can bring children into the picture. The early years of marriage will definitely determine whether your marriage will work or not.

3. When things get tough, stay

When you are involved in a heated argument, do not leave the house stay and work it out. If you cannot solve the issue at hand agree to postpone it for later when everyone has calm down.

4. Tell your partner what is on your mind always

During the early years in marriage learn how to handle your partner and also learn each other’s flaws. Let your partner know how you would love to be treated, make him know your expectation. It is not easy for him to read your mind.
