The MP said the murders are causing fear among Kenyans, adding that those involved must be hunted down and legal action taken against them.

Speaking in relation to the mysterious murders of businesswoman Monica Kimani and Rongo University student Sharon Otieno, Kibe asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to ensure the killers don’t go unpunished.

She said that the families of the deceased are crying for justice.

“It is a matter of concern and relevant security agencies should up their game in pursuing criminals who are cruelly terminating innocent lives,” she told journalists in Gatundu Town on Sunday.

Kibe said that no one has a right to take the life of another person no matter the issues or conflict they are having.

The MP blamed some of the gruesome murders that are being reported in the country on moral decay and loss of values.

Meanwhile, police have intensified investigations into Kimani’s murder.

Kimani’s lifeless body as found at her Kilimani apartment in Nairobi two weeks ago.

She was buried on Friday, last week, at their family home in Gilgil.

Police are holding two suspects, Joseph Irungu and TV anchor Jacque Maribe over the murder.

In Sharon Otieno’s murder, Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his two personal assistants Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero have been charged with murder.

The county boss is being held at the Industrial Area remand prison pending their fresh bail application on October 8, 2018.
