Musalia Mudavadi led Amani National Congress (ANC) party's has hit out at Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho over alleged dictatorship.
In an interview with Milele FM's Kivumbi show Monday morning, the ANC's Secretary General Barrack Muluka also bashed the governor over alleged pride and poor leadership
He took issue with Joho's altercation with President Uhuru Kenyatta months back, terming the same a demonstration of the poor leadership Mombasa residents brought upon themselves.
"There is some sort of pride and ignorance in the governor and that's why we do not approve of his leadership. We cannot approve an ignorant leader who goes as far as exchanging words with the President," said Muluka.
Muluka was speaking in reference to the ongoing wrangles between Joho and a section of MCAs in Mombasa.
The MCAs have since launched a push for the ouster of Transport CeC Tawfiq Balala for alleged incompetence.
Joho, however, disagrees with the MCAs holding that Balala is competent.
Should the Mombasa County Assembly insist on his removal, Joho threatened to institute proceedings for the dissolution of the county assembly
This according to Muluka, is a blatant show that the Mombasa county boss has resorted to intimidation and manipulation to retain his ally in office, a further demonstration of the impunity.
"We are dealing with a person who doesn't have any respect for the rule of law. Why not let the MCAs do their job then appeal the impeachment if they feel it is unfair? He shouldn't be threatening them," he said.
