Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta's effort in the war against corruption.
Speaking during Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally in Kitui County on Saturday, Kalonzo said that President Kenyatta deserves credit because of his commitment to protect public resources from looters.
The Former Vice President argued that Uhuru has decided to wield the sword against individuals who are accused of graft, adding that he is not looking back at all.
"I want to congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta on his stand against corruption. He has taken out the sword. Ukiguzwa usimlilie Rais Uhuru #BBIInKitui," he said.
On Saturday, Uhuru asked corrupt governors not to drag his name in their woes. The Head of state asked the governors to come forth and clear their names instead of sideshows.
“Whoever has misused money meant to benefit members of the public must pay in a hard way,” he said.
The President has also vowed that he will not end his friendship with ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga until he makes Kenya a better place. The President noted that he is committed to achieving the Big Four Agenda before he leaves office.
He has since warned government officials against engaging in politics at the expense of development.
