Speaking in Mandera county on Saturday, the DP took issue with Raila and his team over their habit of forming, switching and breaking political parties after each and every elections.

He termed the same a frustration to national unity, alongside tribal and ethnic politicking which he also jn a veiled attack accused Odinga and team of engaging in.

“We cannot unite a nation without ensuring that we eliminate politics of ethnicity and politics of broken parties,” he was quoted by the Saturday Nation.

Ruto's remarks were echoed by his close associate and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale who called upon Jubilee stakeholders to keep the party intact.

He indirectly took shots at Raila and his party hopping history, adding that he is now using his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta in an attempt to break the party.

"They destroyed Kanu leading to President Kenyatta’s defeat in 2002 and then Narc followed before they formed Cord that collapsed due to their political dishonesty.

We know them,” the Garissa Township parliamentarian was quoted.

Raila who heads the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has been in trouble with Ruto's allies who are observing him as a threat to the party's existence.
