Michael Oyamo, the ex-miliex-military officer cum, is likely to seal Governor Okoth Obado's fate, says lawyer Wilkins Ochoki.
The former Navy officer was remanded at Industrial Area prison on Wednesday after his defense team applied the bail, whose ruling will be made on Thursday.
And the criminal lawyer says Obado's fate remains in Oyamo's hands since the two 'were in constant communication and had direct links to Sharon Otieno'.
"It is one of complicated but easy criminal case. Oyamo would seal his boss's fate since they were in constant communication and had an interest in the slain lady.
"It is paramount to remember that he is linked to abduction and two witnesses have confirmed and even the vehicle nabbed," he said.
Taxi driver Jackson Gombe and journalist Barack Oduor gave corroborated evidence in which they directly linked Oyamo to the gruesome murder.
Should Oyamo be found culpable, he says, the next question would be on whose benefit he was coordinating the slain student's murder.
Also, he adds, he will have to explain why he'd called for a meeting between him and Sharon along with Oduor before abduction, a move that would further throw Obado into a limbo.
Should he be convicted, he adds, his move to define the motive of death would be key and could as well land his boss in trouble.
Mr. Obado was Oyamo's teacher at St. Joseph Rapogi in 90s and the latter is said to have been the former's best student in Physics.
