The first-term governor stole the show after he left the crowd in stitches when he asked everyone to tour Nairobi because it receives sunshine throughout the year.

Those in attendance could not hide their excitement as they burst into laughter after the governor made the remark.

“Receive warm greetings from the people of the University of Nairobi in Kenya. You are welcome to visit our country where we enjoy sunshine almost all year around," he said as the crowd burst into laughter.

The county boss also assured the different stakeholders that his government is committed to protecting HIV victims during his tenure in office.

He noted that the county government is working in collaboration with the national government to ensure that the affected parties benefit from medication and other privileges.

“Nairobi has an estimated day population of about 7 million. The first case of HIV in Kenya was detected in 1984 and by the mid 90s, HIV was a major cause of illness in Kenya. It puts huge demands on the healthcare system as well as the economy” he wrote on his Facebook page.
