Kibra by-elections scheduled on November 7th may have yet another obvious outcome should Imran Okoth get elected to Parliament.

For Senator George Khaniri of Vihiga, he was first elected in 1997 after the death of then Hamisi MP Nicodemus Khaniri, who was his father.

Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones, inherited the seat first from her husband Kipkalya Kones. He died in a plane crash in 2008. Similarly, late Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso won Sotik seat after the death of her sister Lonah in 2008.

Others who managed to join parliament after death of kin include EALA MP Dr Oburu Oginga, who inherited Bondo seat from his father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

Former Sabatia MP and Vice President Musalia Mudavadi was also elected to parliament after the death of his father, Moses Mudamba.

For Richard Onyonka, despite serving his third term in Parliament, he had to wait for 11 years to take over Kitutu Chache after the death of his father Zachary Onyonka.

Former South Mugirango MP and aspiring Kisii Senator Omingo Magara, first won the seat in 2001 after the death of his brother Enock Magara.
