"I can confirm that next year's national drama festivals will be held at the Coast region. We are going to write to the regional officials, the commissioner and director so that they can find the best venue," he said.

He noted that Kibabii University has been a wonderful host this year, adding that no issues have been reported so far.

"Kibabii University has been a great host and we hope next year we are going to stage the event in the Coast region," he added.

The National Drama and Film Festivals give students from all parts of the country a chance to showcase their talents.

This year's event will come to an end on Thursday, April 11. The closing ceremony will be officiated by Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Prof George Magoha.
