Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has praised Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji's performance a few months after taking office.
Duale said that Haji is slowly returning confidence in the war against corruption.
The leader of a majority in the National Assembly said that DPP Haji's purge on graft is laudable adding that he has all the support he needs.
The Garissa MP said that corruption is a serious economic disease that has to be eliminated by all means.
"The DPP's performance is exemplary and we ask him to go for all the big and small fish in the war against corruption," he said in an interview with a local daily on Saturday.
Duale said that Kenyans will have access to quality services if corruption is stamped out completely.
He asked politicians across the divide to support the Jubilee government fight against corruption and other social vices.
DPP Haji has been receiving praise over his swift action against graft suspects.
Haji took over the DPP office in April replacing the now Environment CS Keriako Tobiko.
On Saturday, DPP Haji ordered for arrest and prosecution of Lands National Commission chairman Mohamed Swazuri and other officials.
Swazuri and others will be arraigned in court on Monday to answer to corruption-related charges.
