Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu on Tuesday expressed her support for the National Integrated Identification Management System (NIIMS) being rolled out in various parts of the country.
Speaking in Masii during the official launch of NIIMS by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ngilu noted that those misleading the nation should be ejected from the country.
"Mheshimiwa Rais, hao watu watoe Kenya. Hao ndio wanarudisha Kenya nyuma.
(Mr.President Sir, eject these people since they are the ones dragging our country behind)
"Sio ati ni watu ambao hawajasoma, wamesoma sana na ndio wanaenda kuambia watu kwa sababu they have something to hide, she said during the event broadcasted on KBC.
(It's not that these people are not educated, they are the most educated and seems they want to hide something fishy about themselves).
She noted that the bio-metric registration will help the government in planning, and asked the head of public service to do away with approximations.
Governor Ngilu lauded the head of state for digitizing the country as he promised in 2013.
