Inooro FM has become the first casualty following reports that it could have lost at least three popular presenters and three newscasters.

Presenters Jeff Kuria (Hagaria show), Ephraim Antony Mugo (Kuihuria show) and Wanjiku Wa Njuguna are reportedly headed to Iganjo FM which is owned by billionaire businessman Andrew Ngirici.

The station is also said to have lost longtime evening news presenter Kihara Wa Gathua who will head the new startup. Muhia Wa Maina and Jeff Munga who are the station's morning and afternoon news presenters respectively are also said to be on their way out.

A source within Royal Media Services indicates that the six may have dumped the radio station based along Dennis Pritt road due to among other things poor management and the promise of hefty pay at Iganjo FM.

Inooro FM is headed by Edith Wanjiku who previously worked at the Royal Media Services radio traffic department.

Before her was Gathoni Wa Muchomba (founder head of radio and current Kiambu Woman Rep), Zulu Thiong'o and Esther Macharia. The latter two were fired in a quick succession after the station's ratings and advertisement revenues went down drastically.

Iganjo FM which is available on 94.6FM in Nairobi and its surroundings is promising via a promo running on its sister Kikuyu TV station (Mt Kenya TV), to revolutionize Kikuyu radio broadcasting once it officially hits the airwaves.

Well, it seems like it has started to warm up ahead of the big challenge.
