Kinoti, however, says he is not bothered with what politicians are saying, adding that as a public servant his only duty is to serve Kenyans.

Speaking to residents at Ndau Island in Lamu County on the second day of Lamu Service week on Tuesday, Kinoti said he is only accountable to Kenyan taxpayers.

The DCI who has been criticised and accused of allegedly using the intensified graft probe to undermine certain politicians said he only fears God.

"No one can threaten, intimidate or force me to do things outside the constitution," he said. "I only fear God and those swindling taxpayers money should prepare to face the law."

Kinoti stated that the onslaught on graft will go on full gear.

Kinoti disclosed that the war on graft is yet to gain the required momentum, adding that in the coming days Kenyans will see results.

The DCI urged Kenyans to work closely with his office and other agencies as they probe and prosecute graft cases.

He said the public can play a big role as whistleblowers and help nail graft suspects.

Kinoti has in the recent days been criticised by a section of politicians who have accused him of allegedly weaponising the war on corruption.

The politicians also accuse the DCI boss of allegedly using the war on corruption to frustrate Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Last week, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang claimed that Kinoti is President Uhuru Kenyatta's 'errands boy'.

Kinoti has since rubbished the 'errands boy' tag, saying he only works for Kenyans.

The DCI is probing the Sh21 billion allegedly lost in the Arror and Kimwarer dam scandals which have elicited sharp division across the political divide.
