Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi has broken his silence over the bad state of Mosasa footbridge.
The ward representative argued that his political enemies are unfairly attacking him because of the footbridge.
According to Moindi, the footbridge will not be constructed anytime soon because it has not been budgeted for.
"I want to tell my political rivals that the Mosasa footbridge will not be constructed anytime soon because there is no money. In fact, the footbridge is being used by about 10 people only, therefore, I don't see the reason the issue should be politicised," he stated.
He warned rivals against politicking adding that his rivals are just playing village politics.
Moindi stated that he is busy doing other projects meant to benefit all residents of Bomariba but not a few individuals who want their selfish interests served.
"Bigogo-Miranga road, Kasarani-Nyamagundo-Kenyorora road has been murramed to ease transport in the ward. Rivals need to keep off continued politics and allow me to serve the people diligently," said Moindi.
He appealed to locals to ignore his rivals who he termed as confused and only interested in seeking political mileage.
Moindi was speaking on Sunday at Igonga.
