A section of Gusii leaders have reacted following Deputy President William Ruto's re-union with former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.
The leaders argued that DP Ruto is 'smart' bringing political 'enemies' on board ahead of the 2022 general elections.
"Ruto is calculating his 2022 moves. His re-union with Isaac Rutto tells how committed he is to clinch Presidency in 2022," said a Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari.
He challenged local Gusii politicians to embrace unity and tolerance.
"Political temperatures should be low especially a time like this to allow elected leaders serve the voters diligently. Let DP Ruto's re-union with CCM party leader be an example to be copied by local Gusii leaders whether elected or not," he noted.
Thomas Nyagaresi, a politician allied to NASA warned opposition against 'sleeping' ahead of 2022 polls.
"Ruto is focused re-uniting with rivals while opposition leaders are in a deep sleep. NASA should wake up and put strategies which will help the coalition win the country's top seat," said Nyangaresi, ANC politician.
Victor Swanya, former Kitutu Masaba MP contestant said DP is luring political losers to his team who won't add anything to his presidential bid in 2022.
