Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang' has laughed off his Bungoma counterpart Moses Wetangula's political attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The Ford-Kenya party leader has been repeatedly bashing the former Premier lately and has since proceeded to denounce his links with him, in line with their initial union under the ailing opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA).
Speaking on radio Jambo on Thursday, Kajwang' noted that Wetangula is growing too big for himself, laughing at his big political ambitions and stating that he has no political lifeline away from Raila.
"Wetangula anamtegemea Raila na bila Raila hana nguvu yoyote. Raila alivyonyamaza sasa mbona pia yeye hana cha kusema kuhusu siasa za upinzani? (he depends on Raila for political survival. Otherwise, he would have taken over the opposition now that Raila is absent)," he stated.
He advised Wetangula to stop his regular attacks on the veteran leader and concentrate on his future endeavours, urging him to use the emptiness in the opposition to boost his future bids.
Kajwang' further advised the 2022 presidential hopeful to use his senatorial platform to serve Kenyans as the leader of opposition.
"Akiona Raila amenyamaza achukue mamlaka na atumie cheo chake kama Seneta kuendeleza kazi. Isiwe eti Raila asipokuwepo kila kitu kinasimama (let him take over now that Raila is not there. His absence should not be the death of the opposition)," added the lawmaker.
