Businessman cum politician Don Bosco Gichana has come out to address claims of being rearrested by the Tanzanian government.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Don Bosco dismissed the reports, arguing that his political detractors were out to tarnish his name.
The businessman assured his fans that all was well and urged them to avoid the cheap propaganda being spread about him.
He reiterated that he will triumph against the plans of his rivals, adding that God will always protect him.
“There are rumours swirling around that I Don Bosco Gichana was rearrested in Tanzania yesterday. My political detractors are at it again. I am well and okay I just left from church God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaac will always protect me from any ill moves planned by my political detractors. I will triumph in Yahweh's name,” read his Facebook post.
The flamboyant politician was detained in Tanzania for five years after he was charged with conspiracy and money laundering.
Don Bosco was in 2018 sentenced to five years in jail after he pleaded guilty to the charges before the High Court in Arusha.
He was, however, released after paying a fine of Sh13.7 million as he had already served the five years in detention.
The politician had earlier promised to write a book detailing his experience in detention as well as unravel what led to his arrest in Tanzania.
