Son of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, Raila Junior has dismissed claims that Central and Rift Valley regions have been marginalized after the famous handshake.
Raila Junior said that the handshake between the ODM leader and President Uhuru Kenyatta has benefitted all Kenyans, adding that leaders who feel their regions have been sidelined are misled and ill-motivated.

Raila Junior was reacting to a section of politicians has alleged that no key projects have been established in their regions since the President agreed to work with Raila.
The leaders questioned why Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is yet to tour the regions yet he was tasked with overseeing the projects set to be initiated by the government.
Keiyo South MP Daniel Rono said he was not happy by the fact that the Rift Valley residents have little to smile about since the handshake.
He asked the president to remember them after they stood with him to retain his seat.
The MP also said that it seems all arms of the government have turned against the region because of Deputy President William Ruto’s differences with Raila.
“It is like all arms of government are fighting the Rift Valley. At this rate, we might take drastic steps and declare our stand,” Rono was quoted by Daily Nation.
