Veteran trade unionist Francis Atwoli says prayers and surgeries have made him strong and even helped him to evade death, reports the Standard.
The COTU leader, while speaking in Mukumu over the weekend, also said prayers forced his girlfriend t abandon him.
According to him, medical research shows that one can live longer if he or she undergoes throw surgeries.
"Kitu inanisadia Bishop, I have undergone several surgeries. Ukiptitia surgeries kama mimi, utakuwa strong hata kifo hiwezi kukuchukua rahisi," he said adding that he can still sire strong children.
He further said: "My son, who is a doctor (Lukoye Atwoli), said anyone who undergoes surgeries has gone through the first stage of death. So death is just deep rest."
But despite claiming he does not fear death, Atwoli is however on record for claiming that he was being trailed by hits men early this year.
