Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been summoned over the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno.
Obado name has adversely been mentioned, with the deceased mother claiming that Otieno was in a relationship with Obado and they were expecting a child together.
The county boss who has denied any involvement in the saga will be grilled by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kisumu.
Reports indicate that Obado surrendered himself at the DCI offices in Kisumu by 10:30 am. He is currently at the regional offices.
He is accompanied by his team from Migori county.
At the office, we have Barrack Oduor, the Nation journalist who was abducted alongside Sharon Otieno.
Oduor managed to jump out of the moving vehicle to rescue himself.
Obado's personal assistant Michael Oyamo is currently behind bars over the abduction of Otieno and Nation journalist Barack Oduor last week.
The body of Otieno was discovered near Kodera forest last week. She was a second-year student at the Rongo university.
An autopsy conducted revealed that she suffered eight stab wounds and there was a likelihood that she might have been raped by her abductors.
