A two-time former presidential aspirant-turned-human rights activist Nazlin Umar has linked DP Ruto in a high profile shooting of a former CEC.
Umar now says DP Ruto is protecting Governor Korane who has been linked to the shooting from being prosecuted in a court of law.
In a long social media post, the female politician alleged that William Ruto was interfering with the case implicating Governor Ali Korane together with his brother from being nailed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the office of the DPP.
"Protection and money. Have you ever heard Raila Odinga or even William Ruto talk of corruption in the counties?? Same way Ruto is protecting Ali Korane and his brother in the attempted assassination of CEC Idris Mukhtar," reads the long post in part.
In a similar post, the controversial Umar also accused Raila Odinga of being behind the ongoing Okoth Obado's woes.
"Raila Odinga is on Governor #Obado's case good and proper. I am NOT defending him on #Sharons murder. Indeed I have agitated for his arrest. Focus. He opposed Rao and Rao lost on #kickbacks from #Migori count. His biggest crime is that he didn't share the loot with Raila. So there's no escape from Rao's wrath. #Obado atajua hajui. Revenge time, Raila is most vengeful, hates his own father with a passion, ita kua mtu amempinga siasa and access to stealing from his alleged strongholds? That's real," she added.
Nazlin's sentiments emerge at a time that the family of the ailing CEC is faulting the office of DPP for delaying justice for their kin who is still admitted at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nairobi Hospital.
