The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday following an argument between the two.

"According to what we heard, the lady was complaining about her husband's drinking habits and coming home late," Dennis Kipchirchir, an immediate neighbour said.

After almost an hour of a heated argument, the husband, Joseph Kipkorir stormed out of the house while calling out for help. Those who responded to Kipkorir's cry for help said he seemed to be in pain around his private parts.

"He looked like he was experiencing a lot of pain. It was so serious to the extent that he was crying," Kipchirchir narrated.

Locals took the man to a nearby Litinai clinic where he was treated and later discharged.

According to Julius Kipchoge, a doctor who treated the man, he had only sustained minor burns which would soon heal.

"The burns did not extend to the vital parts. They were only minor and would heal within a short time," said Kipchoge.

Contrary to the expectations of many, the husband, however, declined to press charges against the wife and instead opted to settle the matter with the in-laws.
