Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, while speaking on Tuesday night during an interview at Citizen Television, said Matiang'i's speed since he was promoted is too high.

"Despite the fact that Matiang'i is doing a good job, I wish to ask him to go slow because his speed is too high. He should not rush to coming up with new rules in government before Kenyans digest it," he said.

He pointed out the ongoing issuance of 'Huduma number' to Kenyans an initiative Matiang'i came up with saying Kenyans were not given time to get knowledge of the initiative before implementation.

The vocal Jubilee party allied Senator dismissed claims that Matiang'i promotion demeaned Deputy President William Ruto.

"I want to put it clear that Matiang'i's promotion has nothing to do with DP Ruto's powers in government. He deserved the promotion," he said.

Cherargei added; "Matiang'i's promotion will help coordinate government projects and assist President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy to deliver to Kenyans towards the realization of the Big 4 Agenda."
