The no-nonsense government official's term at KFCB is almost coming to an end.

Mutua was part of Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Party delegation that toured Murang'a County on Sunday.

His presence in the delegation has elicited speculations that he could be intending to venture into active politics.

According to Kiambu based political analyst Peter Ngure, Mutua's chances of venturing into politics in 2022 are high.

The analyst observes that the KFCB boss has the attributes of a politician.

"I think he can bank on his experience in public service to make a stab in politics in 2022," the analyst said in an interview on Monday.

Ngure notes that Mutua could be among the new faces to take over the Ukambani leadership in 2022.

The KFCB boss is yet to confirm on whether he plans to venture into active politics.

Mutua has been vocal on issues of morals, often castigating some Kenyans especially performing artists who he accuses of exhibiting bad morals to the young people.

Mutua recently hit out at secular artist Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee  or 'Madam Boss' accusing her of being a 'bad' role model to the youth.
