The two Wiper politicians used to bash at each other over development issues.

In April 2016, Makau hit out at Wavinya Ndeti accusing her of being arrogant.

The Wiper MP accused Ndeti of allegedly spreading rumors that he had failed to deliver on development projects.

Ndeti allegedly claimed that Makau was taking credit of the projects she had launched when serving as Kathiani MP.

An angry Makau at a rally in Mavoko in 2016 hit out at Ndeti saying, "the good book is very clear that a woman will leave her family and tribe and adopt her husband's tribe, Wavinya Ndeti would be respected if she would vie as Governor in Nigeria where she is married."

The MP told Ndeti to stop intruding into his leadership.

The two leaders later reconciled when Ndeti ditched her Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party to join Wiper.

Makau and Ndeti are now close allies.

Wavinya Ndeti unsuccessfully contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in both 2013 and 2017 general elections.

The former MP maintains that her dream to be Machakos Governor is still alive.
