The pupil was sitting her exams at the Ungweri Primary School, but could not finish her paper after exhibiting symptoms of running mad in the course of the exams.

Teachers said that the girl began behaving wildly and shouting, which saw her rushed to the Embu Level Five Hospital for quick medical attention.

The incident was confirmed by Embu County Director of Education James Kairu, who added that doctors ruled out possibilities of her sitting the remaining papers.

The incident happened only hours after another candidate delivered a bouncing baby boy in the same county, in the same hospital where the girl is being treated.

The new mother, a candidate at Gatondo Primary School was forced to sit her paper in hospital after delivering the bouncing baby on Monday night, after the exam rehearsals.

Some candidates also had their exam papers delivered to them by the government using a chopper.

This is as a result of the ongoing heavy rainfalls which have made it hard to access some schools by road.
