Businessman Henry Waswa, commonly known as 'Mr. money bags' is among seven suspects who have been charged for allegedly mimicking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s voice and conning businessman, Naushad Merali a whopping Sh10 Million.

The seven are said to have conspired to con the city tycoon with false promises that they would offer him land. 

Waswa and others has since been charged with conspiring to defraud the city tycoon Sh10 million.

The Bungoma businessman is not new when it comes to public limelight and controversy.

In 2017, Waswa shocked many Kenyans when he paid Sh5 million as dowry for his Kamba wife.

During the dowry ceremony, Waswa awakened the 'sleepy' Nzatani village in Mwingi, Kitui County when he arrived in four choppers.

The businessman accompanied by several MPs arrived in style living residents in shock.

Waswa’s generosity also shocked residents as he threw out an overnight party for villagers.

Both the businessman and his wife's wedding rings are said to have cost Sh1.6 million.

Waswa and six other suspects have pleaded not guilty to the conspiracy charges.

The court freed them on Sh100,000 cash bail on Wednesday.
