Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Friday threw shade to a fan who expressed interest in one of her daughters.
The tweep identified as Were Gaddafi had taken to the platform to request a hand in marriage to one of Karua's daughters. He had asked her to grant him an opportunity to be her son-in-law.
"@MarthaKarua I humbly request that you give me an opportunity to be your son-in-law," Gaddafi tweeted.
In response to the request, the no-nonsense politician said that it is not within her power to approve the man’s request on behalf of her daughters. She went further to tell him that the request was overdue in any event.
However,Karua acknowledged having many daughters through socialization and he should instead look for one of them to try his luck.
"Not within my powers! In any event, you are sooo late. However I have so many daughters through socialization, Look for them and try your luck!," Karua replied.
The thread attracted mixed reactions with a number of Kenyans castigating Gaddafi for his poor skills in pursuing women.
A section of Kenyans wondered why men are seemingly taking up the habit of pursuing women through their mothers instead of talking directly to them and expressing their interests.
