One female vegetable vendor at Maseno market while speaking to a Hivisasa writer noted that she makes Sh50,000 in a week.

The business lady explained that she started small, with the business aimed at satisfying her daily needs, but as time passed, problems accumulated and the need to expand the business arose.

'I make Sh50,000 in a week from all my businesses. I started small with one single stall for selling vegetables but as time passed, I got caught up with family and business expenses, and so I decided to expand my business by creating three branches in; Maseno market, Siriba, and Luanda," she said.

She noted that the secret to her success was maintaining positive rapport with the customers by offering them after sales services such as free delivery of her goods.

A part from selling vegetables, she also engages in contracts with her potential customers by supplying them goods on a daily basis.

"When I expanded my business, I realised that I was only meeting business expenses such as paying rent, and making less profit than I expected, so I had to get a stable supplier of vegetables and fruits, and establish customer satisfaction services such as after sales services, and affordable prices in order to attract more customers.

"Over time customers become loyal and every day I realise an increase in profits due to an increase in number of customers," she explained.
