Local Chiefs have been warned against failing to arrest men raping school girls and minors.
Interior Cs Fred Matiang'i said the government should be represented well in deep villagers.
"Chiefs must ensure the government is represented in deep villagers. Those men calling themselves sponsors dishing out money to young girls should be apprehended and arraigned in court," he said in Borabu, Nyamira County on Friday.
He said the rape cases should not be solved locally because the offenders will keep on raping young girls and walking free.
"Sex pests should be sent to jail to serve as an example to those still raping minors in the dark. Chiefs who will be found accepting bribes from sex offenders to solve the rape cases locally risks losing their jobs," he added.
The minister further added that his ministry is committed to ensuring the security of each Kenyan is tight 24 hours.
"Police officers are vigilant to curb any attack from enemies as well as arresting criminals such as rapists. The public should cooperate with the security agencies to provide information which will lead to the arrest of criminals," he stated.
