Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar once again failed to make the cut in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s latest appointments for top government jobs.
In his recent appointments for state-corporation jobs, Uhuru gave majority of the politicians who lost in the 2017 general elections a new lease of life after considering them for the much-coveted positions.
However, for Hassan Omar who lost in bid to dislodge Mombasa Governor during last year’s p[political contest, his dreams of bouncing back with a state job suffered a setback a after being overlooked by the Head of State once again.
Omar who hastily resigned as Wiper Secretary General after his 2017 election loss became a high-profile Coast politician to ditch the opposition NASA coalition for Jubilee Party in the run to the repeat Presidential election.
It was highly expected that the vocal politician would be Uhuru’s first choice in his new cabinet members. However, it was not to be. And even after some subsequent appointments for various state jobs by the President, Omar’s name never made the cut. Or was he just overlooked?
Whatever the case, he will have to keep on waiting for his time to come.
