Mathare Member of Parliament Anthony Oluoch has said that the allies of Deputy President William Ruto have not made a clear stand on the Building Bridges Initiative.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Oluoch said that the statements from the leaders indicate that they are not serious with the popularization of the report.
He argued that the idea of "we versus them must stop" is a clear indication that all is not well in the party. He asked the leaders to fully support the BBI report for the realization of development in different sectors of the economy.
"The Deputy President’s people are sending a lot of mixed signals; on one hand, Murkomen & his team said “we vs them now stops” meaning there will be one BBI platform but they have now retreated & are going to have their own parallel ones," he said.
He opined that there are different issues that need to be fixed in the government including taxation and resources allocation. He noted that the current regime has not done much to transform the lives of Kenyans, adding that there is more to be done to achieve the Big Four Agenda.
"The issue should be that the direction taken is not going to impose a burden on taxpayers. Kenyans are promised they will not be burdened but in order to achieve some of these solutions, will cost taxpayers," he added.
