This is the oldest university in Eldoret situated in Kesses. The university was named after the longest-serving president of Kenya, Mzee Daniel Torotich Arap Moi. Moi University's library is known to be among the biggest in East Africa.

The University of Eldoret (UoE) is located approximately 9 kilometres from Eldoret town along Eldoret-Ziwa road. Students are free to engage in churches of their choice as most of the other universities.
The Chepkoilel-based university offers various courses including Agriculture and Biotechnology, Business and Management Sciences, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Studies - Arts and Environmental Studies - Science.
Kisii University- Eldoret Campus
The university was formerly located in Eldoret town centre but was moved to Kapsoya, a few kilometres from the town.
It is known for providing quality education at affordable cost to its students. It offers most courses from certificate, diploma and bachelors degree. Courses offered here range from Education, Information Technology, Business courses, among others.
