Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has raised an alarm over the increased number of twilight girls thronging into night clubs.
The county boss argued that since schools were closed, the number of twilight girls has increased.
"Girls walking naked at night to night clubs in Nyamira is on the rise after schools were closed. We are suspecting that some of the twilight girls and secondary school female students who have decided to venture into sex trade," he said.
He warned night club owners against hiring underage girls to serve customers saying the government will shut down the clubs.
Nakoru urged parents to be vigilant to ensure their children remain in their houses at night.
"Some parents will be arrested to be punished on behalf of their children who will be caught loitering at night attending discos at night clubs. Parents are advised to keep a close eye on their children more especially daughters," he added.
He assured that police officers have intensified security patrols across the county during this long December holiday and Christmas celebrations.
