Kabogo asked Kinoti not to be silenced by some politicians who are against the renewed fight against graft.

Speaking on Kameme FM on Monday, Kabogo defended Kinoti against claims that he is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ‘errand boy’.

He said that Kinoti has shown professionalism since he took over the helm of DCI, adding that those fighting him are afraid of their past deeds.

“Kinoti should continue with his work fearlessly knowing that he has Kenyans behind him,” he said.

Kabogo asked politicians to allow Kinoti do his work without being interrupted.

He said that the fight against graft is not targeting certain individuals or politicians.

“We must allow constitutional agencies involved in fighting graft do their work,” he added.

Kabogo warned that the war against graft is likely to stall if politicized.

He asked Kenyans to stand firm and support agencies fighting the vice.

A section of politicians, the majority from Rift Valley, are accusing Kinoti of targeting certain individuals in the fight against graft.

The politicians claim that Kinoti is out to block Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

Two weeks ago, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang claimed that Kinoti is working on President Kenyatta’s directions on who to investigate.

Kinoti has however rubbished the 'errand boy' tag, saying he only works for Kenyans.
