According to the Wiper Democratic Movement party lawmaker, over 300 youths in Wundanyi alone are yet to be paid including the service providers such as small business persons who used to cook and supply basic supplies.

Mwashako has filed the petition before the National Assembly, asking the Assembly to compel the relevant Ministry and Cabinet Secretary to act swiftly and address the matter.

"As their representative took this to the floor of the house today for the CS in charge to offer a response to Parliament," said Mwashako.

The lawmaker has also raised concern that over Ksh2.2 billion is being owed to Technical and Vocational Training Institutions for NYS recruits referred for training.

Mwashako has condemned the move, saying the institutions are almost grinding into a halt due to financial instabilities a move that is also affecting students at CIT Voi.

"This is unacceptable as the institution are almost grinding Into a halt, our own CIT Voi is affected by this non payment."
