Muhoroni Constituency Member of Parliament Onyango K'Oyoo has urged College and University students from his constituency to apply for a bursary from the National Constituency Development Fund.
He said that the funds are now available and applications will be open from Monday,02/07/2018.
Speaking to parents and students on Monday at Chemelil Roundabout, the Legislator said that education is the key to development, and therefore politics should be put aside when it comes to matters education.
“Let politicians wait for the right time to do politics.Right now, it is time to serve the people," he said.
Accompanied by various Constituency officials such as Muhoroni CDF chairman Benard Del, Muhoroni Constituency manager Sospeter De Ngere, and the area chief, K’Oyoo disbursed a cheque of Sh10.85 million to Secondary School students who applied for the bursary issued by National Government Constituency Development Fund.
More than 2000 orphans and bright but needy students benefited from the bursary.
He urged all college and University students from his Constituency to pick bursary application forms on Monday next week at his Chemelil office.
The forms will also be available online for applicants to download and apply.
