ODM youth chairman in Nyamira county Dennis Marube Maina has broken his silence over the illegal staff hiring in the devolved unit.
Mr Marube said the continued irregular recruitment in Nyamira is an issue that must be taken serious.
He condemned the county boss Governor John Nyagarama for dismissing claims made by his Deputy Amos Nyaribo over the illegal hiring of staff.
"The response by H.E John Obiero Nyagarama yesterday on issues raised by H.E Nyaribo was reckless and uncalled for. We demand an express explanation on why due process is not followed in employing people in Nyamira," he said.
The vocal youth leader added: "Its high time the king is told he is naked. The office of the County Secretary which has been behind irregular appointments must come forth and issue an explanation to the people of Nyamira. Otherwise we will be forced to do public arrests starting the coming week culminated by public organised protests."
Marube stated that it is embarrassing that 6 years since devolution started Nyamira is still grappling with poverty, low literacy levels and high corruption cases that county employees have turned offices to be extortion dens.
