Popular gospel artist has admitted that he has an unwavering love for the bottle after vehemently denying accusations that he drinks alcohol on many occasions previously.
Exodus Opiyo commonly known as Exodus has said during an interview that he drinks alcohol for leisure purposes and not to get drunk, a Ugandan popular entertainment website, Bigeye, reports.
The artist who commands a sizeable following locally, adds that "drinking is fine as long as you do not get drunk contrary to the Bible teachings".
He continues to justify his drinking by questioning why Jesus would turn water into wine if he knew alcohol was not good for the human race.
For quite some time, the Bigeye notes, there have been doubts among his fans and fellow church members on whether the gospel singer drinks alcohol or not.
In 2013, Exodus reportedly got arrested during a campaign dubbed 'drink and don't drive' but denied he was arrested for being drunk opting to lie that his car had developed some mechanical problems.
